Start your spring on the right foot and get moving with our 5k/10k program! This program is designed for those wanting to build to or on their 5K/10K, new to running/ walking, returning to running or currently in-active, with a goal of running or walking a 5k or 10k. Along the way we’ll provide you with the coaching, guidance, advice, and motivation to keep you moving. This program offers weekly group training runs and education clinics on topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injuries.
The program meets twice a week during the training period, once on Tuesday evenings at 6:15pm and once on Saturday mornings at 7:00am. The workouts will last about an hour to an hour and a half as we increase mileage throughout the season. The weekly runs consist of hill, track, and long run workouts: Tuesday nights workouts will last about an hour to an hour and Saturday sessions will last 1+ hours as we increase mileage throughout the season. In addition to the workouts, there are educational clinics, newsletters keeping you up to date, nutrition tips, and expert coaching/mentoring to help inspire and motivate you on this training journey. The cost of the program is $110 (including the race registration fee).
This program starts Tuesday, March 26th and ends with our goal race of The Big Run on June 1st.
