Malta 5K Advanced and 10K - Fleet Feet Distance Project
Tired of training by yourself and/or running alone? Try the Fleet Feet Albany & Malta 5K Advanced and 10K Training Program. Coach Mark Mindel, long-time half- and full-marathon coach at Fleet Feet Malta with 40+ years of experience, will be overseeing a program for 5K advanced and 10K that will run from Sunday, March 10 to Thursday, May 10.
This program's intention is to establish consistent habits, greater fitness, and help you to develop your running to meet future goals however you may define them. The benefit of training with an experienced coach means that everything you do has a specific purpose. It’s a great feeling knowing that your training is always leading to progress. The group meets twice weekly to train together and get face time with Coach Mark. In addition, Coach Mark will provide a daily training schedule via email, along with tips, encouragement, community updates, and a recap of the recent group training runs.
This training group will be based in the Malta area, meeting at such places as Shenantaha Creek Park, the Zim Smith Trail, and Saratoga State Park. In-person meetings will be on Sunday mornings at 8:00 AM and Thursday evenings at 5:45 PM.
A completed medical waiver will be required before undertaking either program.
Participants will also be required to bring their own water.
The in-person program will cost $160 for the session.
Spaces in the in-person program are limited.
